Lawyers Mutual Senior Claims Counsel, Mark Scruggs has been selected as a recipient of The John B. McMillan Distinguished Service Award. The John B. McMillan Distinguished Service Award program honors current and retired members of the North Carolina State Bar throughout the state who have demonstrated exemplary service to the legal profession. Members of the Bar are encouraged to nominate colleagues who have demonstrated outstanding service to the profession.

Lawyers Mutual Consulting and Services (LMCS) published its first book entitled "The Most Powerful Attorney in the World" in November 2019. The book, which was written by Jay Reeves, is a collection of short stories from a "Law Life well-lived."
 
While Reeves' book is the first publishing effort under Lawyers Mutual Consulting and Services, it's not the last as LMCS currently has two books in production for release in early 2020.
