CONSCIOUS LIVING ON THE CORRIDOR
We are excited to announce our upcoming gathering on 8/8 at the Gate of Manifestation. Join us as we come together to open our bodies, align our chakras, and get clear on our intentions. Together, we will activate our desires like seeds into the celestial macrocosm, to return to us when the fruit is ready to harvest.
During this event, we will also delve into daily nurturing practices
for these seeds of creation. Our activity stack includes:
- Awakening Inner Shakti with Heather Turner
- Chakra merkaba meditation & manifestation rituals with Melodie Knapp
- Ayurvedic practices to feed self and desires with Katelynn Sonnier
- Voice activation "Freeing up the YES" with Lexxi Broussard
Don't miss this opportunity to tap into your inner power and manifest your dreams.
Mark your calendars and join us at the Gate of Manifestation Gathering.

Christine DesJardins
Licensed Professional Counselor, MA, LPC
Helping someone through difficult issues is a collaboration between therapist and client. It takes courage to show up for therapy and trust someone to help! Christine practiced and taught meditation as a means for recovering from trauma for 30 years before becoming a therapist. Meditation develops a stronger, calmer mind, but doesn't completely clear psychological issues, unless you've the luxury of years of intense practice. For faster results than talk therapy or meditation alone, she integrates them to build self-awareness and stability.

LOVE YOURSELF ON THE CORRIDOR
Yoga coming soon to Maison Stephanie |
Maison Stéphanie was constructed in 1796 by Martin Milony Duralde. It sits on 20 acres of Bayou Teche property in St. Martin Parish. There are 5 bedrooms and baths in the main house, with public space, a kitchen, and 2 additional baths completing the main house.
Guests can enjoy a comfortable temperature in their room without having to worry about excessive energy consumption. Additionally, their mini split systems use eco-friendly refrigerants that are less harmful to the environment than traditional refrigerants.

EAT WITH A GOOD HEART

Not only do they have great beer and food made with mostly locally sourced ingredients but they also reduce their environmental footprint with every gallon of beer, they produce.
As designed, the treatment pond allows the brewery to brew twice the annual capacity at the time of its implementation. The pond layout was designed to minimize the surface runoff entering the pond. The wastewater from the treatment pond is then sent to a shallow, manmade marsh, where native, local plants known to remove pollutants from water are planted. The result is a man-made marsh behind Bayou Teche Brewery where birdwatchers and environmental tourists can visit.

STAY LOCAL ON THE CORRIDOR

The Sunset House at Les Deux Mondes is a fully restored and modernized traditional 19th century Cajun Creole farm cottage, which was moved from 20 miles away to her current location and is now overlooking the lovely Bayou Teche.
The restoration and updating respected her roots, yet has modern amenities. Sustainable techniques and materials were used when possible and practical, including traditional made-on-site milkpaint, tung oil varnished longleaf pine floors and recycled cellulose insulation. A gorgeous kitchen counter milled from a giant red oak log that was diverted from the landfill, as well as original artwork from local artists, give this house a comfortable and warm feeling.
The house also features a fully equipped kitchen (new electric stove, new fridge, new blender, new microwave oven, new toaster oven, programable coffee maker, wok, etc...) ceiling fans, and a central "mini-split" unit, which provides quiet air conditioning and heating throughout the house. In the bathroom, you will also find a washing machine, an iron with an ironing board, and a hair dryer.
Guests can enjoy a comfortable temperature in their room without having to worry about excessive energy consumption. Additionally, their mini split systems use eco-friendly refrigerants that are less harmful to the environment than traditional refrigerants.
