Lead and Learn Series: Race to Justice
Online workshops provided by The Center for Congregations
This fall, The Center for Congregations is hosting a Lead and Learn Series titled, Race to Justice. As we continue our work as a diocese to Become Beloved Community, we encourage you to participate in these online workshops as you are able. Please share this information with others in your faith community that may be interested.
The conversation about race is difficult and complex. There are many takes, many sides and much heated debate. The recent (and past) killings, protests, and violence are showing us that we must learn to talk openly and deeply about race. The Center for Congregations invites you to join the conversation to learn and to lead your congregation into a better future.Learn and Lead means you will receive education on this topic and also gain tools to take next steps to lead your congregation in healthy change. This particular Learn and Lead series, Race to Justice, will help you understand the ways racism manifests in our culture and provide practical ways that you can apply the knowledge in your personal and public life and in the life of your congregation.

The Race to Justice series is led by subject matter expert on race and racism Dr. Michael R. Twyman. The workshops are live online and are free.

Each session’s subject matter may seem general in nature at first glance, but will be specifically targeted to congregations. It is beneficial to you to attend all five events, but it is not necessary to attend them all to benefit from the information.
