From Libraries to Learning Spaces

Library Interiors of Texas is Creating Spaces Worth Checking Out
For nearly 20 years, Library Interiors of Texas has partnered with Choice Partners members to help create welcoming, functional spaces where communities can learn, collaborate and connect.
What began in 2008 as a company focused primarily on library furnishings has grown into a
full-service furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) provider serving libraries, schools, higher education institutions and municipalities across Texas and beyond. From needs assessments and space planning to procurement, installation and ongoing support, Library Interiors of Texas has built its reputation on providing turnkey solutions tailored to public organizations.
President Michael Taylor said the company was founded with a simple philosophy that still guides the team today: "Big enough that we can, small enough that we care."
Since becoming an awarded Choice Partners vendor, Library Interiors of Texas estimates it has served more than 200 cooperative members. Over the years, the company has supported projects ranging from library renovations and new learning spaces to broader furnishing needs for government and educational organizations.
| | One recent project that stands out involved supporting one of our very own members, the City of Garland, with two major library projects completed within the same four-week window: a large-scale renovation of the city's central library and the furnishing of a new branch location. Despite shifting construction timelines, the team successfully completed both projects on time and within budget. The project earned Library Interiors of Texas a glowing reference letter from Garland's director of libraries. Read the reference letter here. | | According to Taylor, the company's continued success comes from staying focused on what it knows best. Rather than "trying to be everything to everyone," Library Interiors of Texas has specialized in library and learning environments while developing a deep understanding of government procurement and the unique needs of public organizations. That specialized approach, combined with decades of industry experience, has helped the company grow into one of the leading FF&E providers in the state. | | |
Now, the company is entering its next chapter.
As Library Interiors of Texas has expanded, the team established Community Furnishing Group, which includes Library Interiors of Texas, Library Furniture International and Carolina Furnishing + Design. The goal is to continue growing nationally while maintaining the personalized service and local relationships that helped build the company from the beginning.
For Library Interiors of Texas, growth is important, but staying connected to the clients and communities it serves matters just as much.
