WINSTON-SALEM, NC - (June 15th, 2022) The Triad Business Journal has named Smart Start of Forsyth County as one of fourteen leading individuals and employers that have worked to establish and advance diversity and inclusion efforts in their workplace and community.
TBJ sought nominations for organizations and individuals who prioritized equality across all areas of diversity, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, and socio-economic backgrounds. For the purposes of the award, TBJ defines diversity as having people of diverse backgrounds in the workforce and in management. Inclusion means that those diverse people have a voice in the planning and operations of the company or organization and engagement across all levels of the organization.
"We are delighted that the Triad Business Journal is recognizing our organization for advancing SSFC's work in the community toward advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in Forsyth County for all Forsyth County Children and Families", states Dr. Louis Finney Jr, the CEO of Smart Start of Forsyth County. The honorees will be recognized on June 23rd at N.C. A&T State University.
