Congratulations to Logan Crow, Executive Director of The Frida Cinema for his election to the Board of Directors of Arts Orange County, the community’s leading advocate and service provider for the arts and arts education. In this role, Logan looks forward to enriching arts organizations, arts education institutions, and patrons of the arts.

Logan is also excited to share that after over a year, The Frida Cinema is finally open!

Logan is a current participant of the Executive Learning Group.
Great work is being done at Human Options! Their Prevention Education Specialist, Marissa Charlotte Presley, was featured on KCAL News. They are working to ignite social change through their Prevention Education program and this is one example of the impact they are making in their community.

Maricela Rios-Faust, CEO, Judith Rose, Chief Program Officer, and Nora Caldwell, Community Engagement Manager all participated in our Learning Group programs, and Maricela was also coached in our Executive Coaching Program.
City of Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan issued a proclamation in April 2021, recognizing for the first time, Arab American Heritage Month, in an effort led by the Arab American Civic Council.

The list has now been expanded to include Irvine, Tustin, Anaheim, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Corona, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, and Anaheim Union High School District.

Good Day LA featured Orange County's Help Them Home Giving Day campaign. Cathleen Otero, VP of Donor Relations and Programs at the Orange County Community Foundation, Paul Leon, CEO of Illumination Foundation, and Madelynn Hirneise, CEO of Families Forward, highlighted the work of these organizations and their participation in the initiative.

Our hat is off to Fieldstone's partner Greg Campbell who was featured in the UCI Graduate Division Presents: The Graduate Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series. Greg presented on the topic of mentoring and sponsorship and the importance of servant leadership.

As part of his management and leadership consultant practice, Greg provides leadership coaching to a number of high-profile executives as well as young professionals, many of whom are leaders of nonprofit organizations. He is also the author of The Surprising Power of the Coil and The 5-2-1 Principle.

Congratulations to Nishtha Mohendra who recently joined Families Forward as the Chief Program Officer. In this role, she is responsible for leading all programs and services for the organization and will help oversee all programs and services tackling family homelessness, including housing, food, counseling, career coaching, education, affordable housing, housing development and other support services. 

Nishtha shared, "I am most excited about joining a group of dedicated team members and volunteers who are committed to preventing and ending family homelessness in Orange County. I am thrilled to be at Families Forward and hope to use my skills to make a meaningful impact and ensure families have safe and stable housing."
 
Nishtha participated in the 2020 Nonprofit Leaders Learning Group.
Lauren Brand, Director of Operations at Be Well OC was a presenter at the American Institute of Architects event along with the architect/designer of their Be Well OC mental health campus. The presentation was about the Be Well OC movement to transform mental healthcare in Orange County and the innovative healthcare facility design that went into creating the Be Well Campus.  She will also be taking this presentation on the road at an upcoming national conference - the HealthCare Design Expo this Oct in Cleveland, Ohio. Congrats, Lauren!

Lauren participated in the 2016 Executive Learning Group, became a coach in the Executive Coaching Program in 2017, is a current member of the Leadership Reading Group and is a Creative Encounters by Fieldstone facilitator.
Dawn Reese, CEO of The Wooden Floor was featured in The Leader in You Podcast with Lola & Ramin on Organizational Development and Cultural Transformation. They discussed the other side of the organization- its capacity. The building, fostering and developing of such critical facets as trust, curiosity, compassion, resilience, and creativity occupies the realm of leadership.

Collaboration at its finest, as Pure Game provided pure fun for KidWorks! As the pandemic eases and California starts to re-open, KidWorks is welcoming students back to their three centers, thanks to the partnership with Pure Game, a sports-based social-emotional learning program based in Orange County. Many KidWorks students won’t return to in-person learning until this fall. Sessions with Pure Game provide important opportunities for positive socialization between KidWorks staff, volunteers and students.

Congratulations to OC Human Relations! They celebrated their 30th Anniversary and marked this achievement with a virtual event that featured Visual Artist Amanda Lee Harris-Gibbs, Spoken Word artist Arielle Estoria and a keynote address from Professor John A. Powell, Director of the Othering & Belonging Institute!

Congratulations to Elizabeth Sproule on her promotion to Assistant Director of the Chapman Fund. The Chapman Fund allows the University to meet their greatest challenges, including scholarships and financial aid for hundreds of students and families in need.
