City of Irvine Mayor Farrah N. Khan issued a proclamation in April 2021, recognizing for the first time, Arab American Heritage Month, in an effort led by the Arab American Civic Council.
The list has now been expanded to include Irvine, Tustin, Anaheim, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Corona, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, and Anaheim Union High School District.

Our hat is off to Fieldstone's partner Greg Campbell who was featured in the UCI Graduate Division Presents: The Graduate Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series. Greg presented on the topic of mentoring and sponsorship and the importance of servant leadership.
As part of his management and leadership consultant practice, Greg provides leadership coaching to a number of high-profile executives as well as young professionals, many of whom are leaders of nonprofit organizations. Congratulations to Nishtha Mohendra who recently joined Families Forward as the Chief Program Officer. In this role, she is responsible for leading all programs and services for the organization and will help oversee all programs and services tackling family homelessness, including housing, food, counseling, career coaching, education, affordable housing, housing development and other support services.
Nishtha shared, "I am most excited about joining a group of dedicated team members and volunteers who are committed to preventing and ending family homelessness in Orange County. I am thrilled to be at Families Forward and hope to use my skills to make a meaningful impact and ensure families have safe and stable housing."

Lauren Brand, Director of Operations at Be Well OC was a presenter at the American Institute of Architects event along with the architect/designer of their Be Well OC mental health campus. The presentation was about the Be Well OC movement to transform mental healthcare in Orange County and the innovative healthcare facility design that went into creating the Be Well Campus. She will also be taking this presentation on the road at an upcoming national conference - the HealthCare Design Expo this Oct in Cleveland, Ohio. Congrats, Lauren!

Collaboration at its finest, as Pure Game provided pure fun for KidWorks! As the pandemic eases and California starts to re-open, KidWorks is welcoming students back to their three centers, thanks to the partnership with Pure Game, a sports-based social-emotional learning program based in Orange County. Many KidWorks students won’t return to in-person learning until this fall. Sessions with Pure Game provide important opportunities for positive socialization between KidWorks staff, volunteers and students.
