As we look to bring greater harmonization across Canada and with the recent retirement announcement of Debbie Coull-Cicchini, we’ve taken some steps to streamline our structure and responsibilities.



Today, we are excited to announce that effective January 1, 2024, Anne Fortin, currently EVP, Direct Distribution, Marketing and Communications, will become President, Intact Insurance, bringing together Quebec, West, Ontario and Atlantic divisions under her leadership.

As a champion for customer experience, growth, performance and innovation, Anne has transformed our direct-to-consumer business. Her vast operations background, commitment to creating a positive customer and employee experience and expertise in marketing and communications make her uniquely suited to lead Intact Insurance as we continue to enhance products and services for brokers and customers. In this role Anne will continue to report to Louis Gagnon.

Luisa Currie, SVP, West, Danny Da Costa, SVP, Ontario, and Natalie Higgins, SVP Atlantic will continue in their roles overseeing their respective regions and will report directly to Anne. Jean-Francois Desautels, SVP, Quebec has decided to take on a new role outside the organisation. His replacement will be named shortly and will report to Anne.

As we continue to solidify the structure within Intact Insurance, I’m confident that our new National scope will allow us to continue to enhance service to you.
