Executive Director's Message - Jenny Berg
At our Securing the Future Conference on April 20, I opened with a “Thank-you” to our 330 guests for reinforcing the belief that has guided me over the past decade in my role as Leadership Council Executive Director: When we are a vibrant, healthy nonprofit family, we secure the future of every individual and community we serve.

I truly believe that Leadership Council plays an important role in building this healthy nonprofit family through our programming, connections, support, and resources provided. I’ve been blessed to have a front-row seat to watch you as you have:
  • Built your support systems through your leaders circle colleagues and other connections you have made from our network
  • Put your egos aside and built organizational collaborations and mergers - for the good of those you serve
  • Shared resources with each other
  • Lifted up our sector
  • Become friends
  • Grown this nonprofit family to be welcoming, inclusive, and expansive!

I’ve been changed by this nonprofit sector because of you - and because of that, I’m not leaving it… I’ll just be operating in a different capacity as a volunteer. I hope to volunteer as a Leader Circle facilitator, an ED mentor and a BOLD mentor as well. And I’m looking forward to joining so many other nonprofit colleagues who are right in step with me in their “re-wirement”!

Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you these past 10 years, while WE built a strong, sustainable, nonprofit family. I have no doubt that Beth Benson, the new Executive Director of Leadership Council, will continue to build and strengthen our nonprofit family. Please join me in welcoming Beth in her new role.
