Leadership Council Board Chair Message
Dear Friends,

By now, most of you have heard Jenny Berg’s news that she will be retiring this May after 10 extraordinary years as our Executive Director. I know you join me in being filled with wonder and gratitude for all she has accomplished over the past decade.
Under Jenny’s leadership, our membership has more than tripled, as has our budget. Our fundraising and finances are significantly stronger, we began offering new programs (including BOLD, the Securing the Future conference, and the Leadership Challenge), and we grew our Leaders’ Circles and benefits to members significantly. Simply put, Jenny helped make all of us better. She is a true servant leader who strengthened us as individuals, organizations, and collectively as a nonprofit sector.

We will find a time before her retirement to celebrate Jenny, but now our immediate and most pressing task is to choose a new leader who can continue to grow Leadership Council and our mission to maximize the impact of nonprofit organizations, develop their leaders and strengthen the community. The Executive Director search committee (Clare Blankemeyer, Debbie Brooks, Mary Delaney, Jorge Perez, Margo Spence, and myself) is committed to identifying candidates that bring nonprofit experience, life experiences, knowledge, and cultural competencies that reflect the diversity of the Leadership Council membership and our community. You can find the position description on the Leadership Council website or click here for the job posting. Resumes and letters should be sent to Lesli Brower at lbrower@rmhouse.org.

This is an exciting time for Leadership Council, and you have my commitment that our dedication to you will not waver during this leadership transition. Together, we have built a strong, vibrant organization, and we look forward to discovering all of the growth, collaboration, and successes our future holds with our new leader.

Gratefully,

Jennifer Loeb
Board Chair and Search Committee Chair
