Leadership Council was honored to be selected for Interact for Health’s new “Fostering an Inclusive Culture” Learning Cohort. Along with Faith Community Pharmacy, Inc., Found House IHN, Pones, and YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, we will spend the next several months working with the team from Starfire Council to learn how to create a more inclusive culture in our organization. We are grateful for the collaboration, technical support, and a grant to aid this work.

STRONG Institute: Our friends at Mayerson Academy are taking applications for Cohort 17 of their STRONG Institute, which takes place February 24 through March 31. Applications are due Friday, February 3. The STRONG Institute will introduce your team to the science of character strengths and provide an overview of what it means to activate your strengths within yourself, in your relationships and on your teams. The outcome is a vision to maximize each person’s unique strengths while building a culture of engagement, performance, and wellbeing.

They are also holding a STRONG Leaders Workshop on February 9^th from 1 - 4:30 pm (plus happy hour) at UC Digital Futures (also home to Leadership Council).

Jefferson Award: Rotary Club of Cincinnati is seeking nominations for its Jefferson Award for Public Service. The Jefferson Awards are presented to those special people in our community who have created a program that serves an unmet need, or a special volunteer who has provided extraordinary service to an organization.

Cause Camp: LC ED Beth Benson has been invited to serve on the advisory committee for Nonprofit Hub’s Cause Camp in September. This year the conference will be in Ohio, making it a bit more accessible for nonprofits in our region.

AFP Scholarship: Association of Fundraising Professionals, Cincinnati Chapter is offering its SEEDS scholarship for small nonprofit organizations to become members. Visit AFP’s website to learn more about this and other scholarships.
