L is for Leadership!
So many opportunities to share this month for you or your team to grow as leaders. I have personally participated in several of these programs before and after taking this role, and they meant so much to my own development.

You’ll see programs below open to anyone, but these three are exclusive to LC member nonprofits, so be sure to renew your membership or join to participate.

Leaders Circles: One of our most popular programs, these confidential peer groups meet monthly, September-May. They’re organized by role, and we’ve added a new group for Executive/Administrative Assistants. We’ve also added a group for New Professionals, for staff new to the workforce.

Free coaching: I mentioned last month that we were selected to partner with the Midwest Coaches Conference on a free coaching series for members. The formal application opens soon – email me if you’re interested!

Leadership Challenge: Our annual 3-day program at Camp Joy to share “Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership” is also open for registration. This one has a limited number of spots so if you or several members of your team are planning to attend this year, you’ll want to register soon.

Volunteers needed: Speaking of leadership, are you a retired CEO or experienced facilitator? We have a few spots open for facilitators for our Leaders Circles program, as well as for 1:1 mentors for new executive directors for our Leader to Leader program. Please reach out to me directly if you’d like to learn more.

Nonprofit Compensation & Benefits Survey is Available Now!
Our 2024 Nonprofit Compensation & Benefits Survey is now available for purchase! Curious about the latest trends in nonprofit compensation and benefits? Wondering how your organization stacks up?

This comprehensive survey is a bit more extensive than others as it provides regional data points -- very important and useful for benchmarking.

  • It includes both compensation AND benefits.
  • It has a comprehensive list of job descriptions (80+ of them) -- other surveys have general categories.
  • It’s only $150 for LC members and Dean Dorton clients and $300 for all others; other less comprehensive surveys are sold for much more.

We're grateful to VonLehman now Dean Dorton for having sponsored the study since 2018.
