Our annual Securing the Future conference is coming up quickly! I’m really excited about our keynote speaker, Kishshana Palmer. Her talk will address pivotal issues such as generational gaps, wellbeing and burnout, and the criticality of healthy and intentional leadership transitions. Kishshana will begin by sharing her take on the unique challenges that lie ahead for the nonprofit sector, particularly in bridging generational divides within the workforce. She will emphasize the need to understand and leverage the distinct strengths and viewpoints of various generations to foster a more inclusive and effective work environment.
We’ll be sharing details about the accompanying breakout sessions in a few days, but so far we have sessions confirmed on creating intentional career pathways in your organization, and neurodiversity in the workplace. The final session of this year’s conference will be a series of roundtables on a variety of topics so that you can join a group of colleagues for an open conversation.
If you were thinking about joining Leadership Council (or haven’t yet renewed for this year!), this would be a great time so that you get the member rate for the conference. You can join or renew online here.

Compensation & Benefits Study
We are conducting our biennial nonprofit compensation and benefits study this spring. This resource examines our unique three-state labor market and provides data for dozens of positions across organization sizes. Any nonprofit in the region can complete the survey and receive a free copy of the results in late May.
When it is done, the complete study is available for free if you have submitted a response. Nonprofit organizations in the region were sent an individual link to the survey on Feb. 26. If you have questions about the survey or need your link, please send an email to info@leadershipcouncil.us.
Please save the date on June 5 for the survey release event and presentation.
