Executive Director's Message

As I look at the calendar – Leadership Council’s and others’ – I’m excited about all the opportunities for our nonprofit community to network and learn together. I'm most excited about our expanded Securing the Future conference (see below). Did you know this is the 25th year and that STF was originally a project of Leadership Cincinnati Class 24? The connections between so many of our community institutions is part of what makes this region vibrant. I hope you'll join us – we have a great schedule planned.

I'm also looking forward to a new series on policy advocacy (see below). This area is more important than ever, yet misconceptions persist about what nonprofits are allowed to do. I also feel strongly that some of our missions obligate us to advocate for the communities we serve and the programs we provide. The 5-session series is structured so that you can attend individual sessions or all five (discounted). I will be learning alongside you for this one!

As always, please reach out if you have questions or suggestions for us,

Beth Benson

Executive Director

"Such an awesome program! I highly recommend to anyone considering sitting on a nonprofit board!" –BOLD 21 graduate

"Thank you for a seamless learning experience and especially for all of the information itself! I am glad this program exists to make nonprofit leadership more accessible and inclusive." –BOLD 22 graduate

"Being a member of a nonprofit board is a privilege that comes with much responsibility. We learned the core duties of a nonprofit board and discussed many situations where things can go wrong, how to remedy these challenges, and prevent them from happening. Many resources were shared with us, as well as the introduction to many people who work in various roles in nonprofits. Their generosity in sharing their knowledge and experiences with us was great." –BOLD 22 graduate

Reminder: LC members can recruit BOLD grads for open board positions.
