Manufacturing is one of Southwestern Illinois's economic engines. In the next 5 years, 1,500 workers will be needed. 1,200 jobs will also be opening in the trades that support our manufacturers. The Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois Manufacturing Steering Committee, with our regional Workforce Investment Boards launched a campaign to attract entry level workers to these jobs. The "Manufacture Your Future" and "Craft Your Future" campaigns are underway now.

There are many Leadership Council members listed in the good news coming out of Southwestern Illinois these past couple weeks, congrats to all!  Enjoy reading this edition and have a great week.
