Through our Mentor for a Day program, the COA and its affiliate subspecialty societies connect senior residents with leading orthopaedic surgeons for a day of mentorship, shadowing, and soft-skill development.

New in 2025: Residents will also have the opportunity to pay it forward by mentoring medical students during a full day of focused discussions and skill-building.

Early Exposure to the Cutting Edge

In Partnership with COSSNET

Now in its third year, this interactive workshop gives medical students an early look at the tools, techniques, and career journeys within orthopaedic surgery.

Students will rotate through hands-on stations and engage directly with surgeons and residents, building both technical skills and confidence in the field.



This year’s session takes place onsite at the Annual Meeting and offers an invaluable opportunity to spark passion for orthopaedics in the next generation of clinicians.
