Leadership Summit begins at 8:15am with Registration/Continental Breakfast at the LeClaire Room. Ordination Service will be at 5:00pm at The Bridge FMC. Dinner is at 7:00pm at The LeClaire Room (pre-registration required to attend Dinner).

The above sessions during Leadership Summit and the Ordination Service will also be recorded for viewing afterwards.

Bishop Keith Cowart will speak at 9:30am and at 5:00pm during the Ordination Service.

Dr. Keith Cowart is a graduate of Georgia Southern University (BBA, 1986) and Asbury Theological Seminary (M. Div., 1991; D. Min. 2002). His wife, Pam Taylor Cowart, is also a graduate of ATS (M. Div., 1991). Keith and Pam have 2 adult sons, Andrew and Aaron.

In 1997, Keith planted Christ Community Church in Columbus, Georgia. Over the 21 years that he served as Lead Pastor, Christ Community planted or played a major role in planting 4 other churches and sent out more than 35 men and women to serve as pastors, parachurch ministry directors, military chaplains or missionaries around the world. During that tenure, Keith also served as Area Director of Southern Europe for FMWM in 2014-2015. Following a brief term as Superintendent of the Southeast Region (FMC), Keith was elected Bishop of the FMC in 2019.

For fun Keith loves following the home teams (Go Braves, Dawgs, Falcons!), reading, racquetball, treasure hunting (Pam calls it junk), and almost anything that puts him in the outdoors.

We are pleased that our 2:30pm Session at Leadership Summit will feature Jessie Cruickshank via Zoom.

She will lead us on Discipleship.

Special Voting for Superintendent and 2023 General Conference Delegates will be done at Leadership Summit

Information for Pastors on Stoles For Ordination Service:

Ordained Elders are given stoles to wear at Leadership Summit during the Ordination Service. Please remember to bring your stole with you. Those who are being ordained will receive their stole at the Ordination Service.

Childcare Reimbursement for Pastors

Pastors with young children who choose to have childcare provided at home during Leadership Summit can ask to be reimbursed for this expense.

Requests for reimbursement can be sent to: [email protected]. Please remember to specify the amount that you paid for reimbursement.

Complimentary Childcare on Saturday evening

We are pleased to provide complimentary childcare starting Saturday afternoon. Childcare will be provided through The Bridge FMC for infants through grade school children.

Children may begin arriving at 4:30pm and will be picked up after the Dinner (please pick up your children no later than 9:15pm). They will be provided with a pizza dinner (if your children have food restrictions, please feel free to bring items they will be able to eat). Childcare will be at The Bridge.
