The adult Leadership Chattooga class is graduating!!
But before their big day this month, they ate a hearty breakfast and explored the county on the Farm-City Tour and competed in a scavenger hunt. It's amazing to see the difference a year makes in the lives of those who go through our premier program. They have made connections not only in the class, but out in the community.
If you're interested, we have slots open for 2026!!! more info
| | PROJECT COMPLETED and in place to continue. This class took on as its project to collect nonfood essentials to distribute to Head Start (baby items) the Community Resource Center (cleaning products) and to the high schools (personal hygiene products). Because the need is always there, items may continue to be donated at select spots around the county, and the Chamber will distribute them to local agencies. | | After the scavenger hunt, we feasted at Crushed Tomato, winners' choice 8) | | The money shot with Nose Goes (left) and the sweet shot with Cindy's Angels (right) | | |

LCSE26---Communication Session
It's not all lectures and notes on Communication Day in Leadership Chattooga. Sometimes, the students get caught up in some fun and games.
| | I think they learned what middle management looks like and how a company/organization/community.family suffers when communication is not consistent, clear and concise. The student class will take a break for the holidays this month and return in January for Tourism Day. | | |
Chattooga FLEX has their Top 10!!
Narrowing the field from sixteen to ten businesses was a tough challenge with so many great business plans submitted. We enlisted the help of judges who are in the field but not from Chattooga. Personal information was redacted from the submissions, and the four judges all agreed on the Top 10 candidates.

We are developing a Chattooga FLEX webpage so that you can get to know the students and their businesses and keep up with the competition. They will go through a Finance Workshop sponsored and led by Southeast First National Bank next week. There, each business will receive a $200 seed loan for their business and learn how to manage their finances and project their earnings over the next year or more.
Chattooga Chamber Foundation also received a Tillotson Foundation Grant for the awards to our Top 3 winners which will be determined in February. Thank you to all our sponsors, the leadership team, and Georgia FLEX for this fabulous opportunity for our community!!

The Chamber offices have MOVED to the Hurley Community Development Center (HCDC), and we couldn't be more thrilled to offer more services to businesses: Shared Workspaces, Training Center, Private Meeting Spaces.
PLUS, the Welcome Center will be more centrally located for greater impact & reach.
All this would not be possible without the collaboration between private (Southeast First National Bank and the Hurley Family), public (Chattooga County), and a non-profit (Chattooga Chamber).

SUPPORT THE ARTS!
The Tooga will once again be a performing arts venue and centerpiece in downtown Summerville. Until that time, please support the local arts in our schools, in our events, in our art environments and everywhere that is Chattooga.
A world without arts is a world without creative thoughts, chosen words, inspiring visuals and magnificent sounds.
