Vanessa Womack’s journey is a testament to her determination. As a seasoned professional, Vanessa has faced her share of career pivots and challenges, including financial hardships, career indecision, and the emotional toll of sudden income loss. Recognizing the need to strengthen her business during challenging socio-economic times, Vanessa participated in the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce’s Business Accelerator Program. This program not only provided her with valuable resources and connections but also boosted her confidence and opened doors to new opportunities.
One of the highlights of her journey was competing in the VABCC’s Pitch for Profit Contest, where she delivered a compelling 90-second pitch. Her hard work and dedication paid off as she won the top prize, a moment of exhilaration and validation for her efforts.
Taking the advice of business experts she met through the accelerator program, Vanessa is now expanding her operations by moving into a dedicated office space in August. This new space will allow her to host workshops, including her signature program, PANIC-PAUSE-PIVOT: Preparing for Your Next Professional Move. This interactive workshop is designed to help individuals navigate career disruptions, reduce anxiety, and pivot confidently toward new opportunities or entrepreneurship.
Vanessa’s commitment to growth doesn’t stop there. With plans to license her workshops and expand her monthly training schedule, she is poised to make an even greater impact on the community.
