After months of painstaking preparation along with innumerable hours of engineering, documentation, and fabrication effort, the final hurdle to resuming production of the outstanding LEES designs has now been cleared. This long awaited milestone is thanks in no small part to the tireless efforts of the entire Power Flow team, led by Mr. Darren Tilman, President.
We would also be seriously remiss if we did not acknowledge and state our sincere appreciation for the stalwart support and extraordinary patience demonstrated by YOU – our loyal depositors. We are pleased and proud to begin making the deliveries that will justify the faith you have placed in us.
This initial PMA is for the manufacture of the original Power Monster Cross Flow systems designed by Dane Wagner for the O- and I/O- 470, 520, & 550 powered Cessna -180, -182, & -185 airframes.
We will begin ramping-up production of these systems immediately after the holidays with the first three systems scheduled for completion and installation in January, four on the slate for February, and five more by the end of March. This gradual acceleration is intended to discover and remedy any potential problems or pitfalls before we begin volume production and delivery to our nearly 90 depositors. As we gain high confidence in the variations of engine and airframe modifications that can affect the exhaust installation, we will clear those customers of similar configurations in the order of deposits placed.
If you would like to assist us in this process (and be one of the first to have the new system installed on your aircraft), we are actively seeking Guinea . . . (uh, I mean beta testers – yeah, Beta Testers!) to fly their examples of any of the above aircraft to our installation facility at Daytona Beach International Airport sometime during the next three months. (Hey, a few days of sunshine in Daytona during the cold winter months – how bad could that be?)
We will expertly install your new high performance exhaust system, complete all necessary paperwork, and give you permanent bragging rights, all for the low, low, “flat rate” of $800.00. The optional, but highly recommended, Dynamic Propeller Balance can be completed at the same time for an additional $275.00. Having the prop dynamically balanced in conjunction with the exhaust installation extends our standard 12 month / 500 flight hour warranty to 24 months / 500 flight hours.
If you’d like more information about this option (or are ready to schedule your installation appointment now) CLICK HERE and we’ll make it happen.
To those who have placed deposits for the other fine LEES designs, for the Cessna 205 – 210 series &/or the Piper PA-12, -18, & 20/22 airframes, be assured that the progress signified by this milestone is meaningful for you, as well.
The FAA’s acceptance of our PMA application for the initial PMCF products can do nothing but help and expedite the applications to follow for the LEES designs for your aircraft. As soon as serial production of the PMCF systems has begun, we will shift the focus of our engineering efforts to the 205-210 series products.
Due to the commonality between the two designs, we expect to receive the PMA for these products in the March / April time frame, with PMA for the Piper products to follow by approximately June.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted on our progress via these monthly newsletters.
In the meantime:
Here’s wishing you & yours a Happy Holiday Season (whatever that looks like for you, this year);
& All the Best in 2021!
