Friends,

When I first ran for office, I promised to fight for a healthy environment--clean air and water, protection of open spaces, and action on the climate crisis. That is exactly what I’ve done. I am proud to share with you that the Sierra Club, a leading conservation organization, has endorsed my candidacy for re-election. The CT League of Conservation Voters has as well, and gave me a 100% score for my record on the environment and protecting democracy.

Over the past two years I have:

There is a lot more work to be done. Connecticut is falling behind neighboring states in areas impacting climate and we need to catch up. The major climate bill that I co-sponsored successfully passed in the House, but was not brought up for a vote in the Senate because of a threatened Republican filibuster. Many important bills take multiple years to pass. I assure you that with another term, I will give my continued support to bills to address our climate crisis and to improve our air and water quality.

All my best,
