The Public Works Departments reminds residents to remove portable basketball hoops, hockey nets and other obstructions from streets.

This will help avoid damage to Township equipment and the sports items. The Township is not responsible for damage to hoops, nets and items that protrude into streets.

Leaf mulch and wood chips are available for purchase and delivery from the Township. Residents who would like to order delivery of compost must place the order in person at the Township Building and pay by cash, check, or credit card (fees apply for credit and debit cards). Residents may call 610-825-3535 with questions. Select "0" to speak with the operator.

Follow These Tips To Help It Be A Safe Halloween

The outdoor decorations are a sign Halloween is around the corner. To help make it safe, please consider these tips from the National Safety Council.

Costume Tips

·      All costumes, wigs and accessories should be fire-resistant.

·      If children are allowed out after dark, fasten reflective tape to their costumes and bags, or give them glow sticks.

·      Use nontoxic Halloween makeup instead of masks, which can obscure vision; always test makeup in a small area first to see if any irritation develops.

·      Remove all makeup before children go to bed to prevent skin and eye irritation.

Trick-or-Treat Tips

·      A responsible adult should accompany young children on the neighborhood rounds.

·      If your older children are going alone, plan and review a route acceptable to you.

·      Agree on a specific time children should return home.

·      Teach your children never to enter a stranger's home or car.

·      Instruct children to travel only in familiar, well-lit areas and stick with their friends.
