Leaf Vacuum Schedule: Starting the week of 10/19/26

Leaf Collection: Six full weeks from mid-October till the end of November. Groot is asking that you have your leaves out each Monday by 6 am starting October 19^th until November 23^rd . While they tell us to have the leaves out on Mondays, as the season progresses, they may not be there on Monday due to the volume of leaves they pick up elsewhere! Do not mix limbs, brush, stone, or other debris into the leaf piles. Avoid placing leaf piles near storm drains. Pile leaves away from parked cars or low hanging tree limbs as Leaf piles should be no larger than 5 ft. wide; however, residents must rake and place the bulk leaves within 3 feet of the curb but remaining off the street. Not in ditches.

Early Voting at Fremont Township

Mail-In Ballots

Completed mail-in ballots may be placed in the ballot drop box at Fremont Township during Early Voting hours only. Election Judges will be present during those hours.

Medicare Open Enrollment

Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15 through December 7. We are sad to tell you our SHIP Counselor Chris has retired. Luckily the Center for Independent Living in Mundelein has 4 SHIP Counselors and is happy to take our Fremont Township referrals. They are scheduling appointments now. They are located at 377 N Seymour Ave, and can be reached at 847 (847) 949-4440.

Kirk Players Present An Old Fashioned Family Murder

The Kirk Players announce the first show of their 61st season, An Old Fashioned Family Murder, directed by Randy Margison...

It's a dark and stormy night at the mansion of elderly Colonel Claythorne, and the pompous murder-mystery author Arthur Whittington is holding court with the Colonel's family: his eldest daughter, Clarice, who is cold and glamorous; Clarice's attractive fiancé, Jasper; Claythorne's youngest daughter, Dotty, who is a big fan of Whittington's; and Mrs. Shirley Peck, an unassuming but keenly observant visiting widow. By the time Mrs. Peck's son, (junior) Detective Paul Peck arrives at the house, there's been a murder, and everyone is a suspect. It soon becomes clear that nothing-and no one-is what it seems. 

Recently introduced, and produced on Broadway, here's what Broadway World had to say about An Old-Fashioned Family Murder:

"Double-Tony-winning playwright Joe DiPietro has cleverly developed a recipe for an uproarious new farce. DiPietro pours every possible Film Noir detective cliche into a mixing bowl. . . , the result is delicious. Voila!. . . An Old-Fashioned Family Murder is a hit."
