Upcoming Meetings and Education Sessions
U.S. Rep. Susan Brooks will speak at the League’s 2019 Legislative Affairs Forum! Also, back again this year is the panel from Indiana Week in Review to lay out the Indiana political landscape. Credit union political insider John McKechnie will tell us what the change in the political balance in Congress means for credit unions, and we will bring the latest news about important issues under consideration at the Statehouse. Following the Forum, our annual reception for state legislators runs from 5 - 7 p.m. and gives credit union leaders the chance to personally interact with their state representatives and senators. The State Legislator Reception continues to be a very important part of the day as we work to build relationships with the many new legislators who have joined the Indiana General Assembly in recent years.
This webinar, presented by Senior Consultant, Director of Regulatory Analysis Dave Hawkins, will cover a number of topics, including the maximum hold periods for existing and new members, the extended hold periods for exception items, the initial disclosure requirements (i.e., Funds Availability Disclosure) and more.
This webinar, presented by Senior Consultant, Director of Regulatory Analysis Dave Hawkins, will assist credit union volunteers/officials with the BSA educational requirements. The session will highlight the elements of an effective and evolving compliance program, including policies, procedures and risk assessment; internal controls to ensure compliance; training requirements; and more.
Join the League and AffirmX on Feb. 21 for a complimentary demonstration webinar that will showcase the benefits of the Audit and Review package, which can save your credit union time and improve the efficiency of your overall compliance management process.
