BOSTON- The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts actively supports youth in fighting for action against the climate crisis in the  global climate strike Friday, Sept. 20.

" Young people around the world are calling on adults to join them in this fight for their very future. Science has made it clear; the stakes couldn't be higher. This is a fight for the existence of future generations. We cannot wait any longer to take action and we cannot fail. There is no Planet B," said Judy Zaunbrecher, Co-President of LWVMA.

At its recent statewide convention, the Massachusetts League adopted a resolution recognizing that climate change has reached the  level of an emergency.   The League is asking its 47 local Leagues, from Cape Cod to the Berkshires, to take action on Sept. 20, including calling for local town resolutions supporting action to combat climate change.
