TAKE ACTION - Corporations are using the Dark Store Loopholes to avoid paying property taxes, which shifts the burden to homeowners and small businesses.

Watch the Dark Store Loopholes whiteboard video and then share it -
  • Send an email to your Legislators and candidates with the link to the video;
  • Link to the video from your website;
  • Show the video at a governing body meeting and at your Rotary, Neighborhood Association, Kiwanis, Elks, etc. meeting;
  • Show the video as part of a legislative candidate forum (see the August, The Municipality magazine, pg. 7 for more on how to host a forum);
  • Send the video to your local reporter;
  • Post the video to social media (and tag the League and Counties so that we can amplify your voice)

The League partnered with WisconsinEye to bring the discussion of dark store loopholes and the shift to homeowners and small businesses to Facebook live.
