Plan Your Valentine's Weekend in SoIN

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Lucky for you, we’ve curated a list of unique ways you can celebrate with that special someone in SoIN. 

Grab your friends and get creative with the Charlestown Paints “Wood Work Paint Party” on Sunday, February 4 at the Arts & Enrichment Center from 3 – 4:30 p.m. Registration is required. The event is best suited for ages 5 and up. Cost is $25/person.

Calling all Cabernet Sauvignon lovers! Expand your palate at the Wine Shop in New Albany with their new wine education series “So You Think You Like ...” on Wednesday, February 21. Tickets are $25 and include wine tasting, small snack and priceless knowledge.   

“Kindle the Flame” at the Vintage Fire Museum’s annual Valentine’s Day event from 5 – 7 p.m. on February 14. Enjoy a champagne toast and Schimpff’s heart-shaped red hots. Snap a photo on board a vintage fire truck and take a softly lit tour of the museum’s collection. Tickets are $10 each or $5 for members.

Head to J&B Magic Shop on Saturday, February 17 for “Date Night Magic,” with Matt Stanley! Matt combines stand-up comedy with mind-blowing magic for a hilariously entertaining show. The show is recommended for ages 13 and up. Tickets are $25. 

Enjoy a witty and infamous tale of love, murder and revenge set against the backdrop of 19th century London at “Sweeney Todd,” playing at Derby Dinner Playhouse February 21 – March 31. Ticket price includes dinner, show, tax and parking. AAA and group discounts available.

Join everyone’s favorite monkey on a fun-filled adventure in “Curious George – The Golden Meatball,” a fun-filled, action-packed musical playing February 24 – March 30 at Derby Dinner Playhouse. Tickets include breakfast or lunch, show, tax and parking.
