Join us for a focused seminar on the essentials of international trade for small businesses. Mercedes Sanchez-Moore, Director of International Trade at the New York SBDC, will cover export readiness and key export fundamentals. John Tracy, Senior International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Department of Commerce, will explain landed cost calculation, demonstrate the FTA Tariff Tool, and highlight other U.S. Commercial Service resources. Kathryn Bamberger, International Trade Manager at Empire State Development, will provide an overview of ESD’s international trade services and support programs.

Get up to 80% funding to boost your capabilities through the Maritime & Defense Supply Chain Program for NYS manufacturers.
The Long Island MEP can assist with the ISO 9001, AS9100, ITAR, and CMMC compliance; both in subsidizing the cost and with a vetted LIMEP consultant to help you achieve these certifications.
Also, please note if you want to do work for the maritime and defense industry there is a program to assist manufacturers that may be very appropriate for machine shops. See the attached one-page for application details.
The NY State MEP has a grant to assist small and medium sized manufacturers in several areas; ISO 9001 is one area. Awarded companies will receive funding for up to 80% of training or consulting costs - not to exceed $12,800 in the area of ISO 9001 or AS9100 implementation.

In celebration of National Small Business Month, Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine has launched the Small Business Sewer Infrastructure Financial Assistance (SIFA) Program. This pilot program offers up to $15,000 in reimbursement-based assistance for eligible small businesses (25 or fewer employees) located within a Suffolk County Sewer District. Funds can be used for costs related to connecting to sewer facilities.
Apply early—funding is limited and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
