I am excited to announce our upcoming parenting study called
Intentional Parenting, a five-week study for parents with children of all ages (infants - teenagers). Parents will learn 10 ways to be an exceptional parent in a quick fix world.
This study will be led by Rev. Mike and Jan Lindstrom on Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m. in the Asbury Room beginning March 29.
Intentional Parenting will feature video-based teaching by Doug and Cathy Fields, veteran parents who can help you move from Quick-Fix Parenting to Intentional Parenting. We will also have time for small group discussion with other parents who have children in the same phase as yours.
Check out this short video to learn more about the study.
CHILDREN & YOUTH PROGRAMMING: During the study, our children’s ministry will offer nursery for infants - 1st grade and fun Bible-based lessons for 2nd - 5th graders. Students in grades 7-12th will meet in the Upper Room for regular Sunday Night programming.
As parents, we all start out with the best intentions and with dreams for our children. Although, at some point, we move from dreams to duct tape and hope that each day everything will just stick together. Raising kids in today’s culture is a difficult challenge and it requires a plan. Without a plan, parents usually default to Quick-Fix Parenting. Let’s face it— it’s just easier to focus on immediate problems rather than deal with the deeper and more important ones. Surviving each day is much easier than taking time and energy to consider how parenting actions impact a child’s future.
We hope you’l join us as we embark on this journey through Intentional Parenting. It’s never too late to become an intentional parent. Remember, you are the greatest influence in the life of your child (no matter their age)! And it can all begin with these resources. Let’s walk this important journey—together.
See you there!
