Dear Marine families,

MarineParents.com was founded nationally on January 21, 2003. Throughout our 15 year history we have had the honor of supporting tens of thousands of families. We would like to take a look back at our organization in its early years. This week's featured article is from 2003, two months after Tracy founded the organization.

Also in this newsletter, reserve your Marine Corps Marathon charity partner bib, donate or apply to our travel assistance program, learn about the Suicide Prevention Rally, meet a featured Team Marine Parents runner, volunteer, and the east coast Warrior Support Team.

Thank you for supporting our troops!

God bless and Semper Fi!
Web Offers Comfort to Marine Mom

In celebration of 15 years of dedication to Marines, veterans, and family members, we are sharing stories from our history. Our mission throughout the years has not changed. We provide up to date information and resources, as well as a place to connect and share ® .

This week's featured story is an article written in 2003, 2 months after Tracy founded MarineParents.com, by James Goodwin of the Columbia Daily Tribune.

" The need to connect is evident by the 6,500 people who can be found visiting the site on a given day. Some of them spend a couple of hours on the site, said Della Vecchia, who has real-time access to its statistics. "

National Council for Suicide Prevention

On April 21, 2018 the National Council for Suicide Prevention will hold a rally on the front steps of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington D.C. There will be top leaders in the field of suicide prevention speaking. There will also be individuals who will share their experiences in losing loved ones to suicide. This is a very important issue that needs more attention.
