This intro to self-defense workshop will teach you the basic techniques in fending off an attacker. From the basic fighting stance to getting out of an attacker's arms and taking him to the ground, you will leave feeling confident, empowered and wanting to learn more in Level 2! The great news is that we have a Level 2 class directly after this class; sign up for both!

DEFEND: Level 2
Sat. Nov. 3rd | 4:00-6:00pm
Further develop the techniques practiced in Level 1 and progress to learning counter attacks in close encounters. You will engage in techniques not just with the instructor but with partners as well. This class will cover choke holds, wrist locks, and arm and leg holds. Level 2 will add more moves, strikes and techniques to aid against your attacker.

This is an interactive self-defense class. Participants should be prepared to work with someone of a different
size; male or female, and be comfortable with person on person contact.

During his 4-years enlisted in the Marines, Kirk earned his Black Belt in Mixed Martial arts, self-defense and armed one-on-one combat. Kirk graduated from John Carroll University with his bachelors in Exercise Science and Entrepreneurship and also has a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification from NSCA.
