Learn How to Bid an Online Auction

Haven't bid an ONLINE auction and want to know what its all about?

ONLINE auctions are fun, easy, convenient and can be done from the comfort of your home or anywhere you have an internet connection. McMillan Bros is going to ONLINE auctions only, using a new online auction platform called HiBid, so this is a great time to learn how it works! This is an ONLINE only auction website used nationwide. You can bid using your computer, iPad or smartphone.

If you want to see how it works without signing up or entering any personal information:

1) Go to http://mcmillanbros.net & click the HiBid button on the left

(This is where any active auctions are listed.)

2) Click the picture or green "bidding open" button on the right

3) Scroll down to view entire catalog. You can see one photo of each Lot on the left,
    and to the right displays current bid and time left to bid.

4) To view more info on a specific Lot: On the left, click the photo of the Lot you are
interested in. A new page opens with the option to view more photos (if available),
    and on the right shows current bid, time left and the option to place a bid or
    "watch" an item. Scrolling down shows options to view McMillan Bros auction info,
    terms & conditions, bid increments, payment info & shipping/pick up info.

If you want to bid:

1) DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST FEW MINUTES! You won't have time to create a

bidder account before the auction ends.

2) Go to http://mcmillanbros.net & click the HiBid button on the left

3) At the very top of the page, click "Login/New Bidder". Alternately, if you are

already viewing an auction on HiBid, clicking any of the "Bid" buttons will open

a pop up screen. Click "New Bidder? Click Here" button.
