I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and had a wonderful 4th of July! As we reach the mid-year mark, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our achievements so far in 2024 and share some exciting updates.

We have had an incredible year thus far, highlighted by our recognition as a Fast 50 company by the Orlando Business Journal and making the Inc. Southeast Regionals list. These honors are a testament to our hard work and dedication to excellence in everything we do.

Living out our core value of "Serve Others," we have participated in several community events this year. We participated in the Down Syndrome Foundation of Central Florida bowling event and collectively raised more than $6,500! Everyone had a great time at the event!

As we look ahead to the second half of 2024, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. We will continue to grow in multiple locations and strive to be the best in our industry. Our recent prime contract awards, including the Joint Readiness Training Center Support Contract and the Defense Health Agency - Complicated Obstetrical Emergency Simulation System 2 (COES2) contract, position us to make significant contributions to military training and medical simulation.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication. I am proud of what we have accomplished together and look forward to achieving even greater success in the months to come.

The Orlando Business Journal (OBJ) recently revealed their 2024 Golden 100, Central Florida's largest privately held companies.

Knight Federal was proudly listed almong the companies once again this year!

Several surveyed businesses were surveyed to share gross revenue and only the top were included in this yearly ranking. The list includes industries from construction, hospitality, technology and more, employing thousands in the region and bringing in billions of dollars in revenue.

The ranking order and more details about the top companies will appear in OBJ's Sept. 27-Oct. 3, 2024, weekly edition, as well as online.

Information for the Golden 100 list was supplied by individual companies through surveys, and not all local companies responded to the inquiries. Companies were ranked based on their 2023 total revenue.

To have qualified, companies must be physically headquartered in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole or Volusia counties; be willing to allow OBJ to publish their annual revenue; be at least 51% privately-owned and operated and cannot be a subsidiary of another company.

Additionally, 15 percent of lifestyle apps are malicious, and there are 4,000 password attacks per second. For example, multifactor authentication (MFA) can prevent 99.9 percent of account attacks, underscoring the importance of educating teams about MFA's significance.

New hires receive a welcome email with practical information and resources about the company's cybersecurity policies and training. This initiative is complemented by monthly security awareness campaigns, ensuring that all employees are well-informed about managing threats from day one. Microsoft's collaboration with over 1 million security customers and 8,500 security experts further emphasizes the shared responsibility in cybersecurity, providing tools and resources like the "Be Cybersmart Kit" to help organizations stay vigilant year-round.

Protecting internet-connected devices and adopting passwordless authentication are crucial steps in strengthening cybersecurity. Setting up automatic updates, carefully checking privacy and security settings, and using password managers are essential practices. Moreover, multifactor authentication significantly enhances security by offering stronger protection than passwords alone. Awareness and education about phishing tactics are equally important, as attackers can quickly access private data if users take the bait. By following these best practices and leveraging innovative security solutions, we can safeguard our digital assets and contribute to a safer online environment.

We're thrilled to share our recent adventure at the 2024 Corporate Cup for the Down Syndrome Foundation of Florida! Thank you to everyone who joined us in this meaningful event held in February earlier this year. It was a weekend well-spent serving and connecting with our community.

Special thanks to our fantastic bowling team - Rochelle, Undreed, Cathy, Camila, and Dan - for their great skill and incredible spirit.

This year, Knight Federal clinched 3rd place in the Corporate Cup, contributing a remarkable $6,695.50 towards this noble cause.

This achievement reflects our core value of serving others, and we're grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact. As a company, we are looking forward to rolling more strikes and spreading more smiles next year, as this organization is one of the nonprofit groups we support!

Knight Federal is proud to be a gold sponsor of the Fairways for Warriors 14th Annual National Veterans Day Golf Tournament. This event raises funds to benefit the nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a therapeutic and healing environment for combat-wounded veterans and their families. Chris Baeten, Knight Federal's CEO serves as the Event Chairman and is on the Advisory Board of Directors.

This annual event is scheduled for November 8 at the Eagle Creek Golf Club. The goal is to raise $250,000 to help support the mission of the charity, which utilizes the game of golf, to offer opportunities for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing, combined with strong community support for our nation's heroes as they face the challenges of readjustment to life after combat.
