November 2019  Edition

Dear Beloved,

Welcome to the month of November. This month has been full of great activities. We hope you enjoy reading about all that Lapis Lazuli Ministries has been doing as we approach the end of this decade.

What a privilege it is to be alive at this time. How grateful we are for all the amazing miracles, wonders and signs we have seen the Lord perform throughout this year. We have seen so many lives being transformed. We continue to share some of these testimonies in the section below.

What does the beginning of the next decade hold? What does the year 2020 hold for each one of us? We can rest assured in Father God's promise that He knows the thoughts and plans He has for each one of us. Thoughts and plans for welfare, and not for evil; to give us hope in the final outcome (Jeremiah 29:11). We can therefore confidently go into the new year, knowing we are going with Father God, the Way Maker!

Learn To Enjoy Where You Are...O n The Way To Where You Are Going.

Life has been described as a journey. A journey happens over a period of time. There is a beginning, and there is an end to the journey, which is the destination. But along the way there is so much that can take place. There are so many phases. There will be high and low points because many things impact on a journey. The route you take, may be scenic, or have no views at all. The terrain could be awful, or it could be one smooth road. The mode of transportation is important in determining how your journey progresses.

The people you travel with is also impactful. Everyone's journey is different. No two people, no matter how close they are, have the same journey from the beginning to the end. Even parents and children are only alongside each other for part of the journey. We meet many different types of people on our journey. There are some really amazing people that we meet. Some are placed like a star to light up our journey. What a privilege to have these people in our lives. Other times, we may have such a negative experience with a person that we never want to see them again. Regardless of experience, we can always ask our Heavenly Father what we can learn from them or what we could teach them.

Sometimes, there are those who bring such joy into your life, because of the lenses they perceive life through. They exude peace. Recently I travelled to Yola to teach a gathering of over 350 widows. Most had lost family and homes, but worshipped God wholeheartedly. It's easy to worship when everything is going well. Their worship was extremely costly and I had such a sense of the Father's pleasure on them. I learnt so much about gratitude and contentment. It's so easy to be the sort that complains about everything, until you meet someone who hardly has anything in a worldly sense, but has a wonderfully contented disposition. The Bible talks about how our Heavenly Father absolutely hates grumbling (Exodus 16:2-15). Grumbling attracts such negative vibes to oneself. It's also related to a critical and entitled spirit. It distorts the beautiful and peaceful aura of gratitude that should be around us. I was appreciative of meeting the beautiful women in Yola, even for a short time, on my life's journey.

Some embark on the journey of life, and their only intention is to get to their destination. They may have had dreams when they are young and all they desire to focus on is achieving that dream. This may be a rather myopic way of viewing life. It is definitely far from the exciting abundant life that Jesus came to give to us (John 10:10). Jesus desires that we rule and reign in this life. We are called to enjoy every bit of our journey.

Relationships, directions and decisions have major impact on our ability to enjoy our lives journey. Our Heavenly Father says, 'My sheep hear My voice.' (John 10:4). This means that He has made every arrangement to communicate with us on our journey. To this end, He gave us the Holy Spirit to be our Helper, Counsellor and Guide (John 15:26). We are supposed to be in a loving relationship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. When we walk intimately with the Holy Spirit, our journey suddenly takes on new meaning and we don't feel alone or bewildered by situations. Every part of the journey is interesting because we know the Holy Spirit is alongside us bringing revelation and companionship. There becomes so much to savour from our experiences, that we look forward to them. Our eyes are no longer on the destination, but we can relax in the company of the Holy Spirit who is our Guide and enjoy the ride.

When trust is in place, we can look to the Holy Spirit for direction. When the Holy Spirit is our mode of transportation, we can trust Him no matter what terrain He guides us through. We can be reassured that even challenging experiences will serve to mature us, and not destroy us. When trust is in place, we can hand the keys of the vehicle over to Him, and sit by Him, as He knows where the land mines are so He can avoid them. If we know Him as our Protector, our Jehovah Jireh, we can rest assured that we are safe. (Psalm 91:1). We can make decisions with help from the One who knows the end from the beginning.(Isaiah 48:5). If we completely surrender to Him, we can have faith for the journey. We don't have to behave like those who have no one that cares. We don't need to be anxious or worried. We can cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Finally, let us have faith, that the Holy Spirit will not only take us safely through our journey, but also fill it with all the experiences He desires that we have. Remember that the Holy Spirit desires to mould us daily into Christ's image. We may not know exactly where our journey will lead us, but we know He who knows the end from the beginning, and He is able to take us to our journeys end.

God bless you,

Mina Xx

Trip to Yola, Adamawa State
Our trip to Yola, in North Eastern Nigeria was a great success.  Rings of Hope organisation, based in Switzerland, have been ministering in this area for the past four years and invited Lapis Lazuli Ministries to partner alongside them. We were honoured to minister to 350 widows who participated in the large gatherings. Most of them had suffered terrible atrocities at the hands of terrorists. Some are still looking for their children who were kidnapped! These women, most of whom were farmers, carried so much trauma, pain, scars and hurt. Their long hours farming resulted in many suffering from terrible back pain. They desperately needed physical and emotional healing.

Dr (Mrs) Bajomo taught during the plenary sessions about identity, forgiveness and lies. Many spoke of the lightness they felt after the exercises in forgiveness. Dr (Mrs) Bajomo and Mrs Maya David taught at the healing workshop. The team that accompanied all ministered together. So many women were completely healed of back problems, vision restored in the eyes, restoration of full mobility after stroke and lots of other ailments. Thank you Jesus!

In Yola, Mr Bajomo had meetings with some Snr Pastors where he shared Lapis Lazuli Ministries activities and sought for their collaboration. He also taught a gathering of pastors and leaders the 5-step prayer model.

Healing Workshop Facilitators Training
There is the drive to raise up healing teams in our churches. Some Snr. Pastors and other bodies, have sent their members to attend the healing workshop. Those who have attended have become confident in laying hands on the sick.

In November, we ran a course for healing facilitators. These are people who would teach the course in churches and other places. It is run over three days, including a Saturday.

Mr & Dr (Mrs) Bajomo visit to Mercy Orphanage, Kaduna
Mr and Dr (Mrs) Bajomo visited Kaduna to encourage the Lapis Lazuli Ministries team that is doing amazing work out there. It was so heartwarming to hear the testimonies from the team.

One of the highlights of the trip was the time spent with the children at the Mercy Orphanage, Kaduna.

Testimonies... Lives Transformed...
In this edition, we have a testimony from Mrs. Aima Eshiet. She started attending the Kingdom Conferences in 2016 and helped with coordinating the youths for the 2019 Kingdom Invasion Conference in Lagos. She serves as a member of the Lagos planning team.

"We can't be afraid of change. You may feel very secure in the pond that you are in, but if you never venture out of it, you will never know that there is such a thing as an ocean, a sea. Holding onto something that is good for you now, may be the very reason why you don't have something better."
- C. JoyBell C

I always knew that something was missing. I sensed that all I knew could not be everything there was. There was so much more to this God. More to loving Him than I could explain. I was not quite "there" as yet and sadly, didn't know where "there" was or even how to get "there". And so began my search for answers about GOD!

The 2016 Kingdom Advance Conference where Randy Clark was a guest speaker marked the beginning of a journey of self-discovery, inner healing and transformation for me. The conference was everything I hoped for and more. Each Kingdom Conference thereafter has also been a wellspring that refreshes my spirit and provides me with strength for the year ahead.

After my personal Sozo session in 2018, I got delivered of a self-imposed mindset of fear, rejection, hurt and unforgiveness that was robbing me of all the blessings that God had in store for me. Since January 2019 I have taken up the challenge of discipling and mentoring young adults in my local church every Sunday. During this time, I have had to relearn how to listen to the Holy Spirit in order to lead the class in Spirit and in the Truth of God's word each week. I have also had the privilege of sharing a lot of experiences from the Kingdom Conferences with the class in order to help build up their faith in, and hunger for, God. More importantly, they are learning how to pray, with testimonies abounding, especially in the area of healing, for themselves and their loved ones. Sometimes, it is quite stressful ministering week after week. However, at the end of each service, it is a an absolutely fulfilling experience seeing these teenagers encounter God in His word in ways they never imagined. Personally, during one of our planning meetings just before the 2019 Kingdom Invasion Conference, a word of knowledge came and I got healed of stenosing tenosynovitis (trigger finger).

As we approach 2020, I feel God's leading for me to leave the "things of old" and begin to take deliberate action to bring to birth a specific dream and assignment he made know to me years ago.

Am I afraid? Sure. Do I know what exactly to do first? No. However, this I do know, God wants the victory and the glory much more than I do, therefore I will trust, listen and obey, saying, "here I am Lord, use me."

Sometimes the greatest change is the change that occurs within.......

May the Lord continue to uphold and preserve us all.

God's blessings,

Femi and Mina Bajomo
