New Brass Instrument Technician
We'd like to introduce you to our newest band instrument repair technician, Dwayne Johnson. Dwayne studied at William Penn University where he majored in music with a minor in business management. After earning his bachelor's degree at William Penn, he went on to study Band Instrument Repair at Minnesota State College-Southeast.
After earning an associate degree in Band Instrument Repair, Dwayne was hired at Rieman Music. Dwayne had the opportunity to work with and learn from master technican Jerry Peoples until Jerry retired in February. Dwayne now works on all brass instruments received at our Urbandale location and does a great job.   Dwayne can play nearly any brass instrument but his specialty is the tuba.
Yamaha TransAcoustic
The Yamaha TransAcoustic guitar has amazing sounding reverb & chorus built right into the guitar....no need for external amplification or effects! An actuator installed on the inner surface of the guitar back vibrates in response to the vibrations of the strings. The vibrations of the actuator are then conveyed to the body of the guitar, and to the air in and around the guitar body, generating authentic reverb and chorus sounds from inside the body.

Three simple knobs let you adjust your amount of effects and the line out volume level. Several models and finishes are available.

New Lesson Coordinator
We'd like to introduce you to our new lesson coordinator, Michael Erman. Michael attended the UMKC Conservatory of Music before transferring to Iowa State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Percussion with a minor in Music Technology. While attending Iowa State as a member of the ISUCF'V'MB Drumline, Michael helped in the creation and instruction of the group 'State Storm' which performs at football games, wrestling meets, and gymnastics meets.

Michael began taking piano lessons at age three and believes that anyone interested in playing an instrument should invest in lessons to learn how to play it the right way.
