Autobody and Collision Damage Repairer
Program at Mohawk College

Collision Industry Information Assistance (CIIA) reports that Mohawk College has approached industry with a proposal to create an 8-month fee-payer training program for the Autobody and Collision Damage Repairer trade.

This training will include the Level 1 apprenticeship curriculum and has the opportunity of delivering more training based on industry demand.

The College is looking for industry support, in writing, that their program meets industry needs and that industry will be doing their best to hire the students at the end of the program.

Classes scheduled for Mohawk College starting on March 4 in apprenticeship are already full.

Areas of interest or technology changes that local shops are asking for, can be inserted into the curriculum to enhance the skill level of graduates to improve work-ready performance and better meet the training needs of a modern shop.

Interested employers are invited to a meeting to discuss this opportunity.

When: Monday March 25/19, Room A104 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Where: Mohawk College, Stoney Creek campus, 481 Barton Street, Stoney Creek, L8E 2L7
