Marshall County Correctional Facility Ice House Project

ELI joined forces with the University of Mississippi faculty and students and Marshall County Correctional Facility inmates to deploy an impactful capstone project as a result of the inmates completing the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program. Together, they packed more than 100,000 meals for needy children.

Interim Department Chair Linda Keena shared that Ice House “teaches them to look at how to solve other people’s problems instead of looking at how they alone can benefit, because that is what successful entrepreneurs do.”

Join ELI, NACCE, and EntreEd for our GlobalMindED pre-conference session on “An Entrepreneurial Mindset in Classrooms and Schools” to examine the entrepreneurial mindset as a cognitive framework that redefines learning, increases motivation, and drives engagement while developing the 21st Century skills needed to adapt and thrive in a rapidly, changing world.
