Lieutenant Gustavo Rodriguez
Lieutenant Gustavo A. Rodriguez, a retired member of the New York City Police Department's Intelligence Bureau, is a distinguished figure and a pioneer in the establishment of New York City Cyber Command.
In September 2009, he was selected as the NYPD's representative at the Center for Homeland Defense and Security at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.
In June 2013, Lieutenant Rodriguez embarked on a fellowship at the FBI's National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force (NCIJTF) in Washington D.C. Tasked with being the central point for coordinating and sharing information related to domestic cyber threat investigations, the NCIJTF played a pivotal role in the U.S. government's cybersecurity efforts.
In January 2015, Lieutenant Rodriguez joined the FBI N.Y. Cyber Task Force, leveraging his expertise to identify, pursue, and prosecute cyber criminals worldwide. As a Special Deputy-U.S. Marshal, he led the NYPD's Cyber Terrorism Squad, focusing on critical infrastructure protection in collaboration with federal, state, local authorities, and the private sector.
