A Taste of African Heritage Updates
J oin us at these upcoming conferences

We’re pleased to announce that we’ll have two sessions featuring the African Heritage Diet at the upcoming Child Nutrition Conference, April 14-16, 2020 in Atlanta. One session is on “Addressing Health Disparities with Cultural Food Programs,” presented with ACTOAH instructor Marvin Young, of Prairie View A&M University Cooperative Extension in Texas, and another session is on “Cultivating Cultural Awareness through Food,” presented with Chef Coleen Donnelly, of InHarvest in Minnesota.

We will also be exhibiting at the Healthy Churches 2020 Conference, November 19-22, 2019 in Charlotte, NC. If any of you are planning on attending, we’d love to see you there!
Website & Facebook updates

We've re-organized our African Heritage webpages to make them more user-friendly for teachers, students, and anyone interested in African Heritage diets. Check out the Teacher's Portal and other new features here .

We've also updated our ATOAH Facebook photo album . Our Facebook group is a great way to stay updated on the program. Join us here .
Have you transitioned to our new teaching system?

In 2019 we moved to the next phase of our heritage diet programming and began licensing the program on an annual basis. This means that to teach the classes, organizations can either purchase an annual subscription/license to the digital curriculum , or purchase the printed handbooks in our webstore . (A limited number of free scholarship licenses are also available.)

We also kindly ask all teachers to add all upcoming classes to our online class directory .
