Good evening, San Gabriel

From everyone at the City of San Gabriel, we hope you had an excellent holiday season with your loved ones and friends. As we approach 2020, we wish you peace and prosperity for the new year!

Now, here is what's making news for the week of December 27, 2019:
City Manager's monthly message:
learn more about Measure SG
Earlier this year, the City Council placed a 0.75% sales tax measure on the March 2020 ballot titled Measure SG for consideration by San Gabriel voters. Measure SG is anticipated to raise $3 million per year for San Gabriel’s General Fund, which is dedicated to City services such as police and fire services, infrastructure improvements, recreation and free after-school programs.

To learn more about Measure SG, we encourage you to read this message from City Manager Mark Lazzaretto.
Community Services brings holiday cheer
with annual luncheon
Earlier this month, the Community Services Department held its annual holiday luncheon. The older adults of our community enjoyed a beautiful luncheon, a hot chocolate bar, a photo wall and cookie decorating.

The luncheon was made possible by the generosity of the Hilton Los Angeles San Gabriel, General Manager Carl Bolte, Hotel Manager Tom Kubo and Director of Sales/Councilmember Juli Costanzo. Our heartfelt appreciation to the Hilton and their staff for their continued support of our City programming.
Silent Sundays at the Playhouse continues January 19
Silent Sundays at the Mission Playhouse continues in January with Buster Keaton's 1922 classic "Cops" followed by 1924's "Sherlock, Jr."

In Cops, Keaton inadvertently makes a series of unfortunate decisions which leads to him being chased by hundreds of cops in the streets of Los Angeles. In Sherlock, Jr., Keaton plays a projectionist and a janitor at a movie house with dreams of becoming a detective.

Catch both on January 19 at the Playhouse!
