The census provides critical data that lawmakers, business owners, teachers, and many others use to provide daily services, products, and support for the community. City Council reviews zone text amendment for ADUs
To comply with new state legislation on accessory dwelling units, the City introduced new ordinances that amend the zoning definitions and development standards.

Free community concert this Sunday
The Olympia Philharmonic Society and Cal State LA present "Concertino," a free community concert on January 12 at 3:00 p.m.

The concert will feature the world premiere of "Concertino for Violin and Orchestra," a composition by Masatoshi Mitsumoto. The concert will also feature works by Beethoven, Haydn, Korngold and Weber.
Sign up for a youth basketball league
Community Services is offering a youth basketball league for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6 at Jefferson Middle School. This program is open to everyone and not restricted only to San Gabriel residents.

This year's league will be hosted by Breakthrough Sports, which includes coaching staff composed of former NBA players. To learn more, we invite you to attend a free basketball clinic on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Jefferson Middle School. The clinic will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for first and second graders, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades.
Connect, converse and learn English at the library
The San Gabriel Library is offering an opportunity for community members to connect, converse and learn English with others in a friendly, accepting environment. The course lasts two semesters, for 15 weeks per semester with a celebration following the completion of the course.

Intermediate classes run on Tuesdays from January 14 to April 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and beginner classes run on Thursdays from January 16 to April 23 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
