A "mash-up" scene study with a more in-depth rehearsal process; examining the subtleties and nuances of sub-textual levels found within the text and character development. By invite only.

Sunday, Dec 9, 1-4pm
The workout that includes making choices with copy and re-directs on copy. For experienced, auditioning or voice over actors with an agent.
Wednesday, Dec 12, 6:30-8:30 pm
Best practices for sides, lighting, sound, camera, editing and delivery. You'll learn about all of the tools and information you need to self-tape and submit successfully.

Commercial Workshop with LA Casting Director Karen Maseng
Sunday, November 18, 2018 
The Commercial workshop will start with a Meisner warm up exercise, followed by one-liner auditions. Karen will teach students to unlock their imagination,  stay flexible so that they don't get stuck in one way of performing copy. Finally, students will work on multiple person scenes. 
Ages 13-18: 9 am - 12:30 pm. Parents may re-join the class at 12 pm for the Q&A session. 
Ages 8-13: 1:30-5 pm. Parents may re-join the class at 4:30 pm for the Q&A session.

The weekday classes cover the full range of the business from Auditions to Voice Over and everything in-between.  New scripts every year. If you have an agent, you should be in class keeping your skills fresh. If you don't yet have an agent, but wish to take that next step, these are the classes for you!

Film:    "Eleven, Eleven" (CHRIS REDISH, JENNIFER PFALZGRAFF) continues its film festival run; follow them online! APRIL WALTERSCHEID was in "Pocketman & Cargoboy," a feature that played at Superstition Springs 25 Harkins. PHUONG NGUYEN KUBACKI is in "A Promise to Astrid" alongside Dean Cain. KELLY NICOLE shot a role in "Ominous," a feature, and "The Devil's Pit," a short. 

TV:  KELLY NICOLE was in "Fun World."

Theatre:    GENE GANSSLE plays Santa in Elf at Phoenix Theatre.    TYNECKIA LEWIS was cast in "Something Wicked This Way Comes" as Jim's mom. FRED GERLE was cast in Titanic The Musical and Miracle on 34th Street at Arizona Broadway Theatre. SHELLY BOUCHER plays Peaches in "Red Velvet Cake War" at TheaterWorks. ROBERT PETERS and MIKE HALPIN are in "The Bad Seed" at Desert Stages; DIANE SENFFNER directs. It opens Oct 19 and runs through Nov 18.  WILL HIGHTOWER is in "Cash on Delivery" at Hale Theatre. KATHERINE LYNCH is in "Mary Poppins" at Desert Stages Theatre. APRIL WALTERSCHEID had more stand-up comedy shows. NOAH LANOUETTE stars as Beethoven in "Dog Sees God; Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead" at Spotlight Youth Theatre through Nov 4. SAM BROWN is in "Peter and the Starcatcher" at GCU. MALLORY ADAMS plays Patricia in "Extremities" at the The New Theatre: Dublin. EMMY LANGE, LILY BELLE LANGE and KATE WILLIAMS are in "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" at Spotlight Youth Theatre. LAWANNAH STRONGBEAR plays Jacob's wife in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoact" in Brooksville, FL Nov 2-18. CHLOE EDWARDS is in Dream City Church's "A Celebration of Christmas" Dec 6-19.
