Greetings!
Eight more days before Christmas! I am almost done with my shopping. My daughters and I made 17 dozen cookies yesterday. We are almost ready for Santa. With all of this rush, the most important thing is just being together with our families and friends. I look forward to the special times in these next two weeks.
Below you will find the winter schedule of classes and events. There are plenty of offerings for beginners to learn a new skill this year. Our intermediate students will be working on knit fabrics--this can be a challenge!
There are two one month classes offered--a one month serger class for those of you who have a serger, and don't know what to do with it in February and a one month beginning sewing class with the project being a coat for your fur baby in March. Every pooch needs a coat!
Don't forget about a special sewing class for your kids and teens! These classes include plenty of
TLC and fun. A life skill that will keep their wardrobes in perfect shape their entire lives.
Merry Christmas from all of us at the sewing school.
Hugs,
Marguerite

Sewing Retreat Review
Our annual sewing weekend at Montgomery Bell State Park was a smashing success. A group of students and sewing school staff spent the weekend sewing in a beautiful suite, with an entire wall of windows, overlooking the beautiful state park.
Our projects had a very festive theme this year. Students worked on matching family pajama pants, a child's Christmas dress, holiday pillow cases, soup cosies and a classic overcoat. We chatted about projects and listened to music all day as we stitched. At the end of the weekend, we all wanted to stay longer--a sign of a successful retreat!
