Friends,

I like the Winter Solstice celebration because it's a return to longer days--a celebration of Light. Although the Summer Solstice this week is the longest day of the year, I am sad because it means the light starts to fade again. Bummer. I guess I just need to be grateful for the season we are in and not think about the inevitable cycles of time with light fading in, fading out. It is like all things: Up and Down, Coming and Going, Living and Dying, To and Fro. Maybe that is the lesson of living: Learning to accept the ever-changing cycles of life. And being happy about it.
