Connecting with our Homeowners
New email delivery system to help keep our members informed.
As your NWTHA Board we have struggled to find economical and reliable ways to communicate with you, our members. Old-style printed newsletters are expensive with printing and postage. Yet we needed a way to routinely be able to reach out with current information about new events and happenings within our community. Especially now, with so many normal activities being changed by current events. So we have settled on this email service as a way to stay connected. We hope this will promote a more regular channel to reach out so please make sure to watch out for future postings. In addition to our Facebook group (The Original NWTHA) we look forward to improving this important aspect of our organization. We are still exploring this medium so bear with us as we experiment and fine-tune our message. And, more importantly, please let us know if this works for you. Everyone seems to have their preferred way to communicate, we just don't have the resources to do them all. So … if you are a social media guru, or have some time and experience to donate please let us know. See the link below in our article on volunteers to sign up or just email us back. We value your input so let us know what's on your mind.

Coronavirus Community Resource Guide
There has been much information being delivered to us concerning this deadly outbreak and sometimes it is hard to piece it all together. This Resource Guide was put together by Congresswoman Lauren Underwood to have a one stop shop for referencing important information to help us deal with the ever evolving data.

Township Branch Pickup Resumes
The Road District Brush Removal Program is for the sole use of residents in unincorporated Wheatland Township and is not to be used by contractors or landscapers. It is for the disposal of trimmed or pruned branches only. Cutting a tree down is not considered trimming or pruning.
Our equipment is not designed to grind small twigs. If it is small enough to be placed in a bag, it is considered yard waste and will not be picked up by the Road District. Call your scavenger service for disposal of yard waste and roots.
Place brush at curbside by 7:00 AM on the Monday of the designated Pick-up week. Do not place material earlier than the Saturday before the scheduled pick up. To service the entire unincorporated areas often takes three to seven working days. Your brush may not be picked up until later in the week. The Road District will make only one pass through your neighborhood.

Volunteers Needed
As an all-volunteer organization we count on your support to help us in organizing and delivering events and services to our members. Please consider offering your skills if you can. We can use help in preparing newsletters and emails, events for the kids, our annual Block Party, adult socials and more! With our current safety guidelines now is a good time to focus on something positive!

Please keep our advertisers in mind. They help sustain us each year in our directory and now they can use our help. Consult your Association directory for all businesses that are supporting NWTHA. See an online version of the Directory here .

About Us
A politically independent organization that was formed (according to our by-laws) to improve the conditions of education, work, recreation, health, and safety; to foster and develop a neighborhood plan; and to aid, assist and sponsor neighborhood activities."

I nexpensive to join — only $17 per year , plus a one-time Legal Fund assessment of $20 (which pays our attorney's fees if/when we need such services to resolve community-wide issues). In other words, it's $37 the first year and $17/year thereafter , which entitles you to receive our bimonthly newsletter and annual membership directory and to participate in NWTHA programs and events -- such as our annual family picnic and popular Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Party for the kids.
