Workshop 1: Dancers Floor Work
Saturday March 16 | 2:00pm - 3:30pm
Through floor and standing work, learn how to use body language as a way to tell a story that can’t be vocalized. The techniques taught in this workshop are best paired with a contemporary mindset in order to help empower potential strength in any movement.

Workshop 2: Pole Choreography
Saturday March 16 | 3:30pm-5:00pm
Learn how to meld unique combinations into beautiful choreography with the Pole. With Tara's broad dance background consisting of ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and contemporary, her knowledge and vision of choreography is vast.

Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced

Tara Meyer  is a 8 x International Pole Champion! She recently took home 1st Place at the 2018 OG Ms. Pole Fitness Olympia and People's Choice award.  

Born in Alberta, Tara has studied dance for 23 years, but first competed as a figure skater.
Tara found dance at age nine and with extensive training (in all disciplines of dance) by 16, her passion became her professional career; leading to many awards and scholarships.

She travelled and trained at the  Ecole de Danse Classique de Monte-Carlo L’École supérieure de ballet du Québec Alberta Ballet , and  The Edge  Performing Arts Center in L.A. 
Upon graduation, Tara was named Canadian Female Dancer of the Year, chosen by Kelly Kono (Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake’s Dancer), offering her a position with  Princess Cruises  where she worked as a featured dancer for 5 years. 
While dancing on cruise ships, she also entertained in cirque; (Spanish web and silks), which opened up a new interest...aerial art.
Upon returning back to 'land', Tara had settled in Victoria, B.C., and enrolled in school and became a personal trainer. She continued to dance also finding time to become a  STOTT Pilates  instructor. Within a year of being in Victoria.

In 2011, Tara discovered Pole Fitness, when she attended a workshop conducted by World Champion,  Jenyne Butterfly . Loving it completely, after two months of drive and compassion, Tara entered the  Canadian Pole Dance 2011 competition , and won First Place, in her division. After that competition, Tara was hooked and continues to win many Canadian, US and International Championship titles.
