BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR

Do you remember what it was like starting a brand new school year with a fresh set of school supplies? Without the help of our community, many of the children we serve will not be starting their school year with that same excitement and support.

The Back to School Fair equips children who are current clients of the Center or Child Protective Services for the new school year by providing them with brand new backpacks, shoes, haircuts, and school supplies. The Fair is also features games, music, face-painting, and refreshments in a family-friendly atmosphere.

LEARNING COPING SKILLS

David has been attending individual therapy for a few months now. He has been struggling with anxiety and finding peace. During the legal process of David’s sexual abuse case, his abuser did receive the punishment David was hoping for. In therapy, he processed his anxiety and started to work on relaxation techniques. David was really receptive to the relaxation skills and after a few weeks of utilizing them at home, he started to feel better. David was surprised to see that healthy coping skills helped him feel better after only a few weeks of using it.
