LEARNING DAY - TUESDAY 15 OCTOBER: MEMBERS' SHOWCASE
Our next Learning Day will be held on Tuesday October 15th at Highfield Park, Hook, (£80 members, £100 non-members, 10am-4pm). Four members will be showcasing their practice presenting a live theme or question to generate learning for themselves and others. Our Learning Days are an excellent opportunity for all facilitators (new, experienced and occasional) to meet, review and share good practice and for you if you simply want to find out more about the Association of Facilitators.

Energy and the Facilitator's Journey:
The morning session, offered by Rachel Arkieson, Annaliese Glueckert and Jennifer Russell (a Certificate Level Peer Group), will be an enquiry into energy in the facilitator's journey.

Facilitating weather and climate change discussions in an international development context
In the afternoon, Becky Venton, Accredited at Level 1, who has been facilitating the co-production of weather forecasts in East Africa will offer us insights and reflections on working in an international development context:

The Showcase Learning Day will offer both presenters and participants a rich day of enquiry, collaborative learning and a gentle stretch. We anticipate that we will all leave with new ideas, resources and a refreshed practice having made and renewed connections.

Places are limited so please book early to secure a place. To book, please email us or call us on 0203 282 7128.

OUR FUTURE LEADERS - a living lab on organisational life and leadership - starts October.

We (AoF) have been working closely with Recess College  and are pleased to recommend their next Our Future Leaders programme for young executives, scientists and professionals in their early twenties to late thirties.  They write:

"The world of work is contradictory. It sends complex messages of what is required to the fast track entrant and those in the first phases of their career.

Our Future Leaders is not a standard management course. Participants learn by experiencing the demands of self-leadership and leadership of others in organisations through a real-time simulation of creating high performance teams in a temporary organisation.

The value of this Living Lab is that it stimulates you as a young facilitator to see the ways that you gain or lose power, what affects your sense of competence, and how you exercise authority in everyday life.

It is an intensive, lively and rewarding course that delivers real change, growth in outlook and behaviour as desired by you. We hope you can come to the Living Lab as an opportunity to explore your personal and professional development."
