Middle School Hollywood Spring Dance
What:  Middle School Hollywood Spring Dance
Where: Lutz Lake Fern Campus
Who: All currently enrolled 6th-8th grade LG students. Students must attend school at least 1/2 day on the day of the dance to attend the dance.
When: Friday, March 24, 2023
Time: 7th and 8th Grade: 5pm-7pm
     6th grade: 5pm-6:30pm
 
Cost: $10 includes admission, snacks, and all activities.  
 
$10 Payment must be submitted on SchoolPay by 3/22/2023 to attend.
Students will be able to purchase entry on 3/23 and 3/24 for $20.
 
Dress Code:  This is a free dress event and students may wear red carpet worthy attire. Clothing must be appropriate length and cannot contain inappropriate pictures, words, logos, advertisements, anything discriminatory, violent and may not be suggestive of drugs or alcohol. Masks are prohibited along with any prop that represents a weapon. Entry will be denied to any student not in appropriate dress.
 
Volunteers: The success of this event is made possible by parent volunteers. Please visit the following site to sign up for donations, setup, cleanup, and chaperoning opportunities. Parent volunteers hours will be awarded.  
7th Grade Pathfinder Field Trip
Final Payment Reminder for 7th Grade Overnight Pathfinder Field Trip (Only for families that submitted the initial deposit during the 1st semester)
What: 7th Grade Pathfinders Overnight Field Trip
When: May 3 - 5
Time: Students will depart from LG at 6:30am on Wednesday 5/3 and return at 5pm on Friday May 5th
Payment: $425
Payment due date: March 31, 2023
Payment includes:  All transportation, lodging, food, equipment rental, and activities.

Medication: Parents must complete an overnight medication form and return it by April 10, 2023. These forms are available in the Lutz Lake Fern front office. Administration of any medication, including over the counter meds, requires a doctor's order.

The boys flag football teams and girls' soccer team had a great season! Thanks to all who came out and supported these amazing teams! Girls' soccer will be in the play offs! Stay tuned for more details!

March Menu
Lunch ordering must be completed by 12pm on Wednesdays for the following Mon-Fri.
We have a new vendor that requires us to send the orders early so please order ahead!
All meals must be preordered. Sandwich meals will be provided if hot meals are not preordered: My School Account

Breakfast is available at both campuses from 7-7:30am.
Kindergarten-2nd Grade students are sent to their classrooms at 7:30am.
3rd-6th grade students are sent to their classes at 7:45am.
Please allow enough time for your student to eat and be to class on time. 

Please pack water bottles every day!

Volunteers welcome at Hanna campus from 10:45am to 1:15pm.

Heron Outfitters provides a retail outlet that offers a sales and buyback program of gently used uniforms and accessories.
This program benefits our Learning Gate families by offering an alternative to purchasing new uniforms and benefits Learning Gate Community School by assisting with funding major projects.

Each family is required to complete 30 hours of approved volunteer time each school year.

Attendees that wish to provide public input should follow the process below:
To sign up to speak during the public input segment of the Board of Director’s Meeting you must sign up online 2 hours prior to the meeting.

Dismissal Reminders
Please pull into the lane assigned for your oldest child's grade level. We will have all siblings together and ready to go.

Please have your tag visible. Children will not be placed in a car that does not have a car tag displayed. You will be required to park and show ID in the front office before being allowed to take the child. This is for their safety!

Please do not be on the phone or have loud music. We want everyone to have their eyes and ears open and help to keep the kids safe!

If there is dangerous weather, students are dismissed from the front porch and the wait time can be a bit longer
