2025 Information & Technology Showcase

Tuesday, October 7th, 9:00am-3:30pm CT

Open to all students, faculty, and staff, this annual event highlights the wide range of technology and library resources available to the Loyola community. Join us on the Lake Shore Campus in the Damen Student Center to kick off the day with light breakfast and opening remarks from Provost Dr. Douglas W. Woods. Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions, explore resource tables, and network with colleagues and our Loyola service provider partners over lunch. The event will wrap up with an ITS Roadmap presentation, ice cream treats, and exciting giveaways you won't want to miss!

Earn a Digital Badge in Sakai Communication Tools

Tuesday, September 30th, 1:00-4:00pm CT

This interactive professional development session offers practical tips and effective strategies for fostering communication in online and technology-enhanced courses. You'll explore tools such as Announcements, Calendar, Email, Chat, Messages, Discussions, and Conversations to build a comprehensive student communication plan. The training is a single 3-hour session with a 15-minute break midway. Upon completion, you will meet all the requirements to earn a Sakai Communication Tools digital badge, issued through Credly. Upcoming Sakai 25 Upgrade

Loyola will upgrade to Sakai 25 on Monday, December 22nd. This new release introduces features such as converting Messages into Discussion posts, more detailed site import options, enhanced settings in Tests & Quizzes, and more.
