I'm so excited about this upcoming new single POISON IVY. As this song is very personal to me; each time I fall for it and learn the hard way to deal with it.

Be aware I was told by the leaves of three, let it be!

It’s poisonous and will annoy you. Yes it keeps me up at all hours of the night when being in contact with it. But I'm grateful for the ones among us, like my mom Johanna van der Heyden, that it's poison does not affect them with greater discomforts like it does to me. You are "my garden heroes" as you can pull it with your bare hands.

This is my story about POISON IVY and my relationship with the vine. It is so similar looking as English ivy, but then again it is poison. When I moved to my Homestead Circa 1784 it was all over. It took the lives of beautiful grown up trees and it was after me.

I noticed that Poison Ivy intertwined with other similar looking vines and has a way to fool everybody, especially me. I even got Poison Ivy one year around The Holidays. Yicks!

Poison Ivy manages to find a place to grow so close to you and almost behaves like som type shape shifters. But oh, it looks so pretty in the early spring when everything is still so bare looking from winter.

I discovered that it finds partnership with Virginia Creeper the one vine that looks like everyone’s favorite five leave; like leaves of five, let it thrive! But the three leaves try so hard to fool everyone in its path. This hairy vine is no friend of mine.

This single is a project by Bongo Boy Records and the collaboration between Monique with Sapphire Star (Studios). This collaboration, which began in the later part of 2024, and has already seen the creation of several award-worthy music projects with various artists. Visit Their Website Here

ABOUT MONIQUE GRIMME

Monique Grimme has been a resident of Warren County, New Jersey for over 30 years. Since 2010, she has managed Bongo Boy Records, LLC, a record label company dedicated to promoting and distributing music by independent recording artists worldwide. In 2016, she established a subsidiary company, FYC by MoPromo, LLC, which specializes in digital marketing campaigns for artists. Some clients utilize her FYC services when they are featured on The Recording Academy’s™ annual Voting Ballot for The GRAMMY AWARDS®. Since 2019, Monique has resided at her homestead built circa 1784 in Frelinghuysen Township, NJ, featuring an old historic coach route. She shares her homestead with one Great Pyrenees named Griffin, George the Sheepadoodle, Duffy the Old English Sheepdog, Miss Putty Cat, and Boomer, her Mountain Pleasure Horse, who lives at The Stables at Water Wheels. On weekends, she enjoys antique hunting with her boyfriend Wickliffe Mott, and participating in AKC dog shows where Griffin has earned 8 points towards his Championship in Conformation with Wick as his handler (Bronze).

Monique is a graduate of Centenary University, holding two degrees in Marketing and Accounting.
